I have always been fascinated by the way light interacts with objects. I look for interesting objects and arrange them to achieve the interplay of light and shadow. The goal of my work is to elevate simple objects into dramatic artistic statements.
I began drawing as soon as I could hold a crayon. I started oil painting in my mid twenties and began taking workshops from artists whose work I admired. I learned to paint in classes of great artists who were all great teachers as well. They include; Gregg Kreutz, Joan Potter, Kim English, Kenn Erroll Backhaus, and David Cheifetz.
I am a signature member of the Oil Painters of America, and have shown in national and regional juried exhibitions.
