Sue Braswell’s studies in the 70s and 80s focused on printmaking and drawing. After a decade career in graphic design, she returned to the fine arts, specifically oil painting. She studied continuously at the Art League in Alexandria for six years, before moving to a horse farm in Virginia’s Piedmont. The farm inhabitants and landscape are constant inspiration. Still life and figure painting are equal endeavors at her studio in Stuart Street Atelier. Sue has earned national recognition for her work, having most recently been juried into the National Association of Women Artists’ Winter Small Works Show and the National Oil and Acrylic Painters’ Society Best of America Small Painting Show.
