Jennifer E Sims is a representational artist and founder of Stuart Street Atelier. A student of master painter, Rob Liberace, she has also studied intensively with Hollis Dunlap, Booth Malone, Susan Gallagher ONeill, Kathleen Friedenberg and Michael Davis. Following in the traditions of Liberace, Sargent, Zorn and Sorolla, Jennifer’s approach is expressive, gestural and bold. She works primarily in oils, graphite, charcoal and oil-based clay.

Jennifer has won international recognition as a finalist in the Art Renewal Center’s 2020 international salon. Her work is owned by collectors across the country and has been exhibited at Connecticut’s Slater Museum, and juried exhibitions sponsored by the Old Lyme Art Association and the American Academy of Equine Art. She is a member of Oil Painters of America, The Portrait Society, and the AAEA.

Expressive Drawing and Introduction to Oil Painting. Jennifer also teaches private classes and accepts a limited number of commissions each year.
